**We believe that AI has a place but that is not to replace us all.** Our code is written by human experts. All the code is then reviewed and documented. We don’t rely on AI to generate poorly written code that is not understood.

AI can greatly speed up the processing of these scans. It can do in minutes what it currently takes a consultant many hours to achieve. AI frees up doctors to treat other patients. It reduces wait times for patients from months to days. RD Research is currently working with Dr Chadi Rakieh and Dr Claire Mennan of The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopedic Hospital to use machine learning to analyze DEXA bone scans quickly and accurately.
